Ortho-Spray

This spray drill cools the treatment area with a mist of distilled water and alcohol. Debriding therefore can be more aggressive and with a coarser bur.

Debriding a mycotic nail down to the nail bed is accomplished quickly and without discomfort to the patient.

This drill has all controls on the front panel which allows the unit to be built into a cabinet. Even just on top of a table or shelf this unit is very quiet.

The handpiece is all metallic and has a reliable twist lock on the bur. It uses larger ball bearings than dental handpieces. The fill knob for the water reservoir is visible above the vertical slot in the front panel through which the water level can be seen. Spray is regulated with the knob in the right hand top of the front panel. Unlike other makes, this spray is very consistent.

The unit has 2 rectangular power switches, however, frequent starting and stopping is best done with the included footswitch or with the speed control knob on the bottom of the front panel.

Debriding with water spray is different than with a vacuum drill. The water wets tissue and so dust cannot form in the first place. The patient's foot must be toweled off after treatment.

To discover if this treatment modality works for you we offer a 14 day trial period and you can contact our customers with any medical questions.
