MTI 424 Tri Power Exam Chair with Flip-up Footrest
The 424 has a separate power tilt function that is not found in other similar types of exam chairs and sets it apart from its peers. The independent tilt helps in better contouring of the patient for long term patient comfort. By providing a separate 15 degrees of tilt, the back of the 424 can remain higher to provide a more contoured and comfortable position to the patient while still putting them into the proper position for procedures. Continuing with the back down and the tilt up will attain a trendelenburg position.
The 424 is available in either of two entry/operate heights, a high “H” model with 16” of vertical rise capability and a low “L” model with 11.5” of stroke. In addition to a choice of operating height is a choice of upholstery kit styles. An optional designer upholstery kit can be had in place of the standard smooth style cushions.
Like most of the other chairs in the MTI family of exam chairs, the 424 Tri-Power examination chair is powered by industry leading 24 volt DC motor technology. These low voltage actuators are markedly more quiet, stronger, more reliable and are safer than traditional high voltage motors used in competitive exam chair lines.
An all steel chair construction helps assure chair strength and durability. Chair stability and operator accessibility to the patient is unmatched with the uniquely shaped base, which allows for close roll-up of the operator’s stool or upright standing, while providing a wide stance and stable platform for patient security.
Standard 424 Exam Chair Features:
-Independent power tilt operation which allows for patient contouring and up to 15º of trendelenburg positioning. -Low voltage, 24 volt DC actuator operation, controlled by sub surface key pad switching. -Electromagnetic swivel lock assures a lifetime of operation without the need to adjust the locking force. -The electric lock combined with convenient dual swivel handles on the chair back make it possible for true “one handed” swiveling of the chair through 340º, without bending or stooping to unlock a lever, or using both hands to rotate the patient. -16” rise capability of power telescoping base with 500 lbs. plus patient lifting capacity on the high base version and an 11.5” rise capability on a low base version, which reduces minimum height by 2”. -Dual programmable positions with auto return, any button cancellation, and key pad coded lockout round out the control features. -Locking, flip-up arm rests assure easier patient ingress / egress and operator to patient access. -Choice of one of six category"A" articulating headrests with wear compensating double lock feature. Velcro attached cushions for easy cushion cleaning or color change / replacement. -Exam light mounting capability. Synchronized flip-up footrest that lifts and extends as the back raises or lowers. -All steel construction for superior strength. Electrostatic powder coated paint which is baked on to assure protection and clean ability. -Knee-flex back/seat hinging for increased patient comfort during raise and recline movement. -Listed to UL 2601-1 Part 1, CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 601-1 M90 Part 1, European GENELEC EN 60601-1 Safety Standards for Medical Electrical Equipment Part 1, and IEC60601-1-2 (2001-09)-Part 1-2.
