MTI 421 Single Power Exam Chair with Flip-up Footrest

The 421 exam chairs are available in two styles of bases and elevation heights to bridge the gap between MTI’s full power chairs and our more basic manual chairs. Both are equipped with manual gas spring back, actuated by a back mounted cross bar that aids in raise and recline, and is easily operable from either side of the chair. The manual back works in combination with the coordinated leg rest and extending footrest to provide patient comfort during recline and return.

The 421H is equipped with the same 24 volt low voltage DC base actuator technology as its full power big brother chairs. The 16” rise base and dual programmability of the height through side mounted switching is standard. The 24” square sculptured base allows for exceptional stability and close roll-up or the operator. The electric swivel lock, arms, and headrest are also the same as the full power chairs.

The 421L uses a more traditional hydraulic baser with an 8” rise capability. It has foot controls for height and swivel adjustment and a 22” round base plate. Headrest, arms, footrest, and Velcro cushion attachments are identical to the 421H model.

Standard 421 Exam Chair Features:
-Gas spring assisted manual back raise and recline, with back mounted full cross bar actuator design.

-Low voltage, 24 volt DC actuator operation, controlled by sub surface key pad switching. (421H only)

-Electromagnetic swivel lock on the 421H assures a lifetime of operation without the need to adjust the locking force. The electric lock combined with convenient dual swivel handles on the chair back make it possible for true “one handed” swiveling of the chair through 340º, without bending or stooping to unlock a lever, or using both hands to rotate the patient.

-The 421L has a manual foot lift lock only.

-16” rise capability of power telescoping base with 500 lbs. plus patient lifting capacity. (421H only)

-Dual programmable positions with auto return, any button cancellation, and key pad coded lockout to round out the control features. (421H only)

-Locking, flip-up arm rests assure easier patient ingress / egress and operator to patient access.

-Choice of one of six category"A" articulating headrests with wear compensating double lock feature.

-Velcro attached cushions for easy cushion cleaning or color change / replacement.

-Exam light mounting capability.

-Synchronized flip-up footrest that lifts and extends as the back raises or lowers.

-All steel construction for superior strength.

-Electrostatic powder coated paint which is baked on to assure protection and clean ability.

-Knee-flex back/seat hinging for increased patient comfort during raise and recline movement.

-Listed to UL 2601-1 Part 1, CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 601-1 M90 Part 1, European GENELEC EN 60601-1 Safety Standards for Medical Electrical Equipment Part 1, and IEC60601-1-2 (2001-09)-Part 1-2. (421H only)
