MTI 401 Hydraulic Power Base Exam Chair with Looped Footrest

Unlike many manual back-fixed footrest chairs, the MTI 401 manual back chair is built with the same type of construction and most of the same parts as our premium power chairs. The all metal construction and Velcro attached cushions, and other features like a stainless steel looped footrest and premium locking, flip-up arm rests that float with the chair back, make the 400 unique.


The “gas spring” operation of the back counterbalances the patient weight in recline mode and assists the operator to raise the patient to the upright position.



The model 401 has an electro-hydraulic power base that can lift nearly 500 pounds, while the most basic model 400 has a manual hydraulic foot pump base (see 400).



Standard 401 Exam Treatment Chair Features:

-Gas spring assisted manual back raise and recline, with back mounted full cross bar design. 

-Adjustable, non-articulating oval headrest. 

-Locking, flip-up arm rests assure easier patient ingress/egress and operator to patient access. 

-Velcro replaceable cushions for easy cushion cleaning or color change/replacement. 

-Exam light mounting platform. 

-All Steel construction for superior strength. 

-Electrostatic powder coated paint which is baked on to assure protection and clean ability. 

-Knee-flex back/seat hinging for increased patient comfort during raise and recline movement.
