Recycling and Energy Conservation Policy

Have you received your syringes in a Starbuck's box? Then you have experienced part of the Recycling Program here at Premier Medical Supply. We are committed to reducing the impact we make as a company on the environment. As such, we have implemented a corporate policy for energy conservation and the recycling of materials we use in carrying out our trade. Our company and our employees are committed to making decisions respectful of this policy in the materials we use, resulting in the minimization of waste and reducing the amount of energy we consume. It is the responsibility of every member of our company to support these efforts that will protect our environment by conserving resources and preserving rapidly diminishing landfill space.



This involves several distinct activities:

Using recycled printing paper and shipping materials
  • Re-use of boxes from our suppliers and other sources of recycled boxes.
  • We only use shipping envelopes manufactured from a minimum of 50% recycled material
  • We recycle all of our printer toner cartridges
Source Reduction
  • This includes but is not limited to making double-sided copies, increased use of electronic mail instead of memos
  • Reuse/resale of surplus furniture
Purchasing from suppliers with similar policies
  • We seek suppliers that share and embrace our policy.
  • We seek suppliers that use fuel efficient means of shipping, reduce the amount of materials they use in conducting their business with us.
Reduction of energy usage
  • Use of low-voltage lighting and appliances
  • Turning off of all lighting, computers and office equipment every evening
  • Use of an energy management system for heating and ventilating
